Jennifer LenzI don't when it happened, there wasn't a specific event that caused this, it has just always been there: my love of traveling, my desire to see the world, my incurable wanderlust. From collecting maps and covering the walls of my childhood bedroom, to collecting foreign currency, I have always had a fascination with things from around the world. I created lists of the wild and exotic places I would see and made plans when I "grew up" to see all these places.
Then I grew up.... In 2007, I started as a freshman at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. I joined Army ROTC at that time. My desire to see the world only intensified during this time. After graduation and commissioning as a Second Lieutenant, I received my first assignment to serve in South Korea. My dream was coming to fruition. During my time in South Korea, I was able to visit six countries and see countless incredible sights. Even after I returned to the United States, I continued to dream of traveling. This time focusing on some of the great sights within the country. Two years later, I have received new orders. This time to Germany. So the adventure continues. I'm off again to see the world again. |
